New Valley produces finest dates in Egypt

CAIRO – 8 May 2019: "New Valley dates are famous for their high quality according to special specifications in terms of the proportion of sugar,"Rifat Fouad, director of a date factory in Dakhla,told Egypt Today.

Fouad said that there is a big difference between dates of the New Valley and other dates,as New Valley dates are characterized by their higher quality.

"Over the course of many years, the rate of date production has increased annually with the expansion of palm tree cultivation in the governorate," Fouad added.

In the same context, Minister of Trade Amr Nassar announced in April 2019 that the Egyptian government is set to inaugurate the biggest date's factory in New Valley governorate.

Nassar added that the factory will be opened in cooperation with UAE’s Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation.
