CAIRO - 3 September 2018: Jupiter will be visible in the skies of Egypt and Arab region for the whole month of September, said Astronomical Society of Jeddah (ASJ) in a statement.
Jupiter has been shifting westwards of the Sun, ASJ added in the statement, saying “Jupiter will be observed highest up at night in the Arab sky, and will appear low in the southwest of the sky at northerly altitudes; in the south of the hemisphere, Jupiter will be quite high in the western sky.”
Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system, and is the second brighter planet after Venus.
Egypt witnessed Venus at the night of August 22, the head of National Institute for Astronomical Research, Ashraf Tadrous, told Egypt Today.
