Egyptians abroad celebrate 5th anniversary of June 30 Revolution - Egypt Today
CAIRO – 17 July 2018: A total of 573 people from different countries registered in the initiative titled “Your Vacation at Your Home Country” organized by the Ministry of Immigration to invite Egyptians abroad to spend their holidays in Egypt.
Meanwhile, the ministry will hold a meeting on Tuesday with young people who participated in the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh to prepare for the initiative, discuss all the problems facing Egyptians abroad and to listen to their suggested solutions.
The initiative will be launched on Saturday, July 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Cairo at the headquarters of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics; an opening session followed by a number of workshops and a closing session will be held, all tackling expatriates' inquiries in the attendance of officials of various ministries.
Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram previously said that the initiative aims to promote the connection between Egyptians abroad and their homeland and attract their investments to participate in the development process.
The Ministry of Immigration has launched several initiatives in the last period to better communicate with Egyptian expats; such as the Roots Revival initiative, which came within the framework of a cooperation protocol signed by Egypt, Cyprus and Greece in December 2017.
