CAIRO – 19 April 2017: Cairo is known for being a hectic city jammed with people, cars, and so much traffic noise it will damage your hearing, but on the bright side there are still trees in the streets of Cairo. Maadi Tree Tour is urging Egyptians to embrace the existence of trees in the city's streets.

Ahmed Seddik, Egyptologist and founder of Cairo Guide, is hosting the Maadi Tree Tour on Friday, April 21. As its name implies, the tour aims to bring Egyptians together for a peaceful journey through the streets of Maadi neighborhood to discover its trees.

There are various kinds of trees in Maadi, each with its own history and beauty. While most Egyptians are stuck between work and traffic, they forgot to observe the trees as a sign of survival in the middle of all the negativity.
