CAIRO – 24 October 2017: As part of her current visit to Egypt, Miss Universe 2016, Iris Mittenaere of France, will be a member of the jury of the 2017 Miss Egypt Universe slated for Sunday.

Coming from New York, Mittenaere made a stop in Egypt for a week-long tour.
In a press conference held in the presence of Huda Aboud, the organizer of the 2017 Miss Egypt Universe competition, Mittenaere said that she basks in the glory of the ancient Egyptian civilization and cannot wait to visit Egypt’s historical sites like the Pyramids, and Qaitbay citadel in Alexandria.

Earlier in October, contestant Farah Sedky was crowned Miss Egypt Universe 2017, in the ceremony held at Cairo Marriott Hotel.

During her speech, Miss Universe 2016 playfully said “Tahya Masr” (Long live Egypt) in Arabic, recounting her father’s long standing love for the great ancient Egyptian civilization due to his work as a history teacher.

Given that she is a dental student, Mittenaere concluded by conveying that her long-term goal revolves around spreading the culture of dental care in the world; particularly amongst the peoples of the under-privileged countries.
