Egypt’s Junior Chef Team from the InterContinental Hotel Group Cairo Citystars won the African Culinary Champions 2014 at the African Culinary Cup competition in Johannesburg, South Africa on October 1.
“As a World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) endorsed competition, the strictest global judging standards are implemented and it is a testament to your culinary precision and innovation that you came out on top,” said President of the South African Chefs Association, congratulating Egypt for winning the competition. “You walked away filled with pride and you deserved it for the incredible food that you created.”
South Africa took second place while Mauritius took third place.
