CAIRO – 27 November 2021: Egypt ranked second as the best diving destination in the world for the year 2021, according to the annual poll of the British “Dive Travel” magazine, one of the famous international diving magazines.  

 

According to the magazine, Egypt has maintained second place in the list of the best diving destinations since 2019, with a much greater percentage of votes than at any other time in the past, coming after Indonesia, which won the first place, after competing with 108 other diving destinations.

 

Egypt’s success this year is very special, especially with the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, especially with the tourism sector in Egypt has been affected over the past four years, the magazine said, highlighting Egypt’s wide range of excellent itineraries, specifically in the Red Sea.

 

The magazine continued: Egypt is a favorite and exciting destination for diving enthusiasts around the world, as the Egyptian beaches are ideal for diving enthusiasts, ranging from beginners to experienced ones.

 

Egypt has beaches with calm currents suitable for beginners and beaches characterized by violent waves that are suitable for experienced divers.

 

In a related context, the Chinese "Xinhua" agency said that Hurghada in Egypt has become a favorite tourist destination for many.

 

“The Aquarium in Hurghada has gained great popularity and fame over the past few years, which made it a major tourist destination, especially as it includes more than 20 fish tanks that contain different types of Red Sea fish, including sharks, in addition to a glass tunnel with a length of 24 meters under water,” said the Chinese agency.
