CAIRO – 23 February 2021: Orchestra of the Arts Center of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Cultural Communication Sector presents a concert under the title "An English Musical Evening for Strings" led by Maestro Nair Nagy on February 27 at 7 p.m. in the Large Theater of the library's Conference Hall.

Harp soloist Mona Wasef will participate in the ceremony. The concert’s program includes the stringed orchestra works of the most famous English composers from the Baroque era to the twentieth century. It also includes works presented for the first time in Alexandria.

The Baroque style constitutes the many forms of art that dominated Western Europe and Latin America. The Baroque era is the period from the late sixteenth century to the early eighteenth century in European history.

Baroque music dates back to the period from 1600 to 1750. The first signs of the Baroque style began to appear in Italian music in particular.
