CAIRO - 14 January 2021: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enany visited, at the Ministry's headquarters in Abbaseya, the workers of the Tourist Vehicles Tracking Center (GPS) of the tourism companies and tour guides sector in the ministry, in order to follow up on its workflow, as the center monitors the movement of tourist vehicles during their trips, reflecting their actual movement, speed, location and route.

 

 

The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Vice Minister for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby, Head of the Tourism Companies and Tourist Guides Sector Magdi Shalaby, Head of the Tourism Activities Sector and Interior Offices Samia Sami and Yomna Al Bahar Assistant to the Minister for Technical Affairs.

 

During the tour, the minister saw how the center’s employees track tourist vehicles through their screens, stressing the importance of the vital role that the center plays in monitoring tourist vehicles, and he also listened to the workers about the obstacles they face while carrying out the tracking process, directing the modernization of this system.

 

At the end of the visit, the minister thanked the center’s staff for the effort exerted to track the movement of tourist vehicles throughout the day.

 

It is worth noting that this center was established by the Ministry to track tourist vehicles in 2009.
