CAIRO – 7 January 2020: The child Maysara Mahmoud, winner of the Person of the Year Award 2020 in Austria, visited the Pyramids Antiquities Area on January 7.

He toured the Great Pyramid and was impressed by the number of its countless stones, the way it was built, the enormity of the king's granite sarcophagus and the way it was carved.

He also saw the Great Sphinx and took photos in the Panorama Area.

Director General of the Pyramids Antiquities Area Ashraf Mohi el-Din met him during his visit, expressing his admiration and pride for the facilitated child and the aid he did in Austria for patients of COVID-19, indicating that he is a “role-model” that any child should emulate and an “honorable image” for Egyptians abroad.

It is worth noting that the child, Maysara Mahmoud, won in 2020 the Person of the Year Award in Austria, for his societal role during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he also received the "Person of the Year" shield from the Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz.
