CAIRO - 11 December 2020: The 42nd edition of Cairo International Film Festival concluded its events on December 10.
Isis competition jury members who are veteran Egyptian actress Salwa Mohamed Aly, Egyptian actress Tharaa Goubail and Egyptian filmmaker Ayten Amin chose the Egyptian documentary “Lift Like A Girl” to win Isis award.
“I am so happy with the girls who made this movie” Aly said.
“ I would like to thank the Festival for this award” said May Zayed the documentary director.
Youssef Cherif Rizkallah Award went also to “ Lift Like A Girl”.
“ I would like to thank the movie crew” Zayed said.
The bronze Pyramid award went to “ Left like a Girl” as well.
“ I want to thank every Egyptian woman who is doing something different” Zayed said.
