Egypt’s stars Asser Yassin,Nelly Karim discuss human trafficking in cinema at CIFF

CAIRO - 6 December 2020:Egyptian megastars Nelly Karim and Asser Yassin were the speakers of “The Role of Cinematography in Combating Human Trafficking” panel along with Cairo International Film Festival head a Mohamed Hefzy.

 

Yassin said that the human trafficking is one of the dangerous topics that hurts us all and hurts him personally, especially that he has children and he cannot imagine that they are in pain.

 

“Art has a big role in raising awareness of the issue, but that is with the support of the other authorities” Yassin said.

 

 

Karim revealed that 10 years ago she was interested in the issue of street children, and this made her passionate about it trying to help in this issue which she described as dangerous.

 

 

“ I found that this problem is complex, and the individual alone will not do anything, but it needs institutions and many destinations” Karim said.
