CAIRO - 6 December 2020: For ethical consciousness, filmmakers and experts had a productive meeting on the sometimes provocative topic of the ethical and the political's place in the art of cinema on December 5.

The one hour panel was sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Acclaimed filmmakers: Youssry Nasrallah, Ayten Amin, Dina Negm, Christina Rosendahl, and Germaine Haddad took apart cinema locally and internationally and how they differ in their access to change and visibility.

The panel was moderated by filmmaker Hala Galal.

“Ethics develop and change over time, they are not stable” Nasrallah said.

“ Art shows emotions, it is not something that I can show in a workshop” Germaine Hadad said.

Hadad added that workshops can give only statistics and numbers.

“The only way to convey emotions is through works of art” Hadad said.
