Egypt’s Minister Tourism and Antiquities, Minister of Trade and Industry discuss Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

 CAIRO - 1 December 2020: Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met with Nevine Game’a, Minister of Trade and Industry, at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
 
The two ministers discussed the content that will be displayed in the Egyptian pavilion in the Dubai Expo 2020, which is scheduled to be held next October and will last for 6 months.
 
 The meeting was attended by Ms Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Maghawry, Head of the Commercial Representation Authority and General Commissioner for the Egyptian Participation at Expo Dubai 2020, and Mr. Hatem Al Ashry, Adviser to the Minister of Trade and Industry for Institutional Communication, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Housing, Finance, Higher Education, Culture, Immigration, Tourism and Antiquities and a number of other officials.
 
 Dr. Khaled El Enany affirmed the ministry’s intent to avail  its resources to showcase Egypt as a global touristic and archaeological destination in the pavilion at the Expo.
 
 
He said that the content presented at the exhibition has  to be impressive, attractive and consistent throughout the 6 months duration of the exhibition in order to attract visitors during this period.
 
The minister explained that next year will witness the launch of major events , the most important of which is the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
 
 
He said that a temporary antiquities exhibition of Egyptian artifacts will be showcased in the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition to highlight the uniqueness of Egypt and to reflect its ancient civilization.
 
In addition to displaying thousands of replicas for visitors to the Egyptian pavilion at the Dubai Expo.
 
 Dr. El Enany added that with regard to digital presence during the exhibition, a live broadcast from a number of Egyptian monuments and tourist and archaeological sites will be displayed.
 
In addition to presenting the digital tourist card. He said that Egyptian pavilion could also showcase various photographs, not only reflecting the Egyptian civilization, but also the charm and splendor of Egypt, such as protectorates and beautiful landscapes.
 
 The Minister of Trade and Industry of affirmed the government's support of the Egyptian participation in the Dubai Expo 2020. She added that it is important to use the popularity of the exhibition worldwide ,  which is held for the first time in an Arab country, to position Egypt and its important and effective role in the regional and international arenas.
 
She said that the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition will highlight the contribution of Egypt in the global development system, in addition to building a promising future that attracts investment opportunities and achieves sustainable development within the Egypt's 2030 vision.
 
 
 
 Game’a pointed out that Egypt aims to highlight the concept of integration with the world to achieve a better future, through Egypt's giant development initiatives in all walks of life.
 
She added that  the pavilion will showcase the importance of Egypt as part of  the Arab, African and international arenas,  as a country of peace and development.
 
 
The content displayed in the Egyptian Pavilion will reflect the image of Egypt, which combines the authenticity of the past, the achievements of the present, and the vision and foresight of the future.
 
 The minister pointed out that there is great coordination with all the ministries and agencies concerned, through the National Committee for Egyptian Participation at the Expo Dubai.
 
This commuter includes around 25 ministries, as well as institutions, businessmen conglomerates and banks. This will make the Egyptian participation in this important international forum successful.
 
 Dr. Ahmed Maghawry, Head of the Commercial Representation Authority and Commissioner General of the Egyptian Participation at Expo Dubai 2020, said that coordination is underway with all concerned authorities to determine the topics and activities that will be focused on during the period of the exhibition so that different content is presented every week, indicating that he is in continuous contact with the management of the Dubai Expo to develop a strong calendar of events that focuses on the great development witnessed by Egypt and attracts a large number of visitors of the exhibition to visit the Egyptian pavilion.
