Egypt’s Minister of Tourism& Antiquities visits Grand Egyptian Museum to discuss latest developments

CAIRO - 21 November 2020: Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met at the Grand Egyptian Museum with the Committee of Specialized Experts, the Evaluation Committee, the team responsible for the preparation of documents for operating the services of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the technical advisory offices, in order to discuss the latest developments in preparation for the coalitiong that will provide and operate the services at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

 

 The meeting was attended by Major General Atef Moftah, General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum project and the surrounding area, Dr. Al Tayeb Abbas, assistant minister for archaeological affairs at the museum, and Dr. Mostafa Waziry, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

 

 During the meeting, the experts reviewed the latest developments reached by the specialized committees, as the winning coalition will be announced in the process of providing and operating the museum services, during the month of December 2020.

 

 It is worth noting that the Committee of Specialized Experts was formed by Prime Minister Decree No. (3211) for the year 2019, and includes Egyptian experts and institutions in various fields of administration, economy, industry and law, and its mission is to provide all aspects of support to put forward the process of providing and operating the services of the Grand Egyptian Museum and negotiating with the best bidder until the contract is finalized.
