CAIRO, Oct 16 (MENA) – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the importance of working to enable all international activities related to cultural exchange to overcome the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic during this stage through offering any content on the internet so that it would be delivered to all segments of the society.

The premier made the remarks Friday after reviewing a report submitted by Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem on an initiative implemented by the Culture Ministry, in cooperation with a number of foreign embassies in Egypt, to promote Egypt’s cultural relations with various world’s countries.

In the report, Abdel Dayem said this initiative comes within the framework of the online initiative "Stay At Home... Culture Between Your Hands" that her ministry launched in March to help reduce the direct impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and encourage citizens to abide by the precautionary measures in this regard.

This initiative seeks to achieve several goals, among which is presenting a non-traditional approach for dealing with culture, as well as promoting Egypt’s cultural relations with various world's countries, Abdel Dayem added.

A night ceremony has been organized as part of the initiative under the theme "Egypt..Mexico..cultural relations" in which Mexican Ambassador in Cairo Jose Octavio Tripp along with other senior officials at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry participated, she noted. (MENA)
