CAIRO – 14 September 2020: The General Administration of Theaters at Egypt’s Culture Palaces Authority announced the start of the 2020 theatrical season of theater clubs.

This confirms the importance of theater clubs as the main nucleus in supporting regional theater teams with new elements of theatrical performance, where its low-cost productions motivate young talents to give different innovative theater performances.

In a statement, the administration confirmed that the door to receiving theater club production projects will be open from September 15-30, provided that the projects are sent to the General Administration of Theaters with a biography of the director, an overview of the text and the directing vision, a list of the names of the whole team of the show.

Additionally, the administration requires sending four copies of the theatrical text in a cubic folder to be sent to the censorship of artistic works, and also to send committees to see the whole project and then discuss it with directors in the cultural branches as of October 15. The committees then choose the shows to be produced during January and February of 2021.
