Egypt’s culture min. directs preparations for El-Arish Culture Palace opening

CAIRO – 31 August 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem assigned Ahmed Awad, president of the General Authority for Culture Palaces, to visit, inspect and prepare a comprehensive report on the cultural sites of the authority in the cities and villages of North Sinai.

 

The report will then be used to develop and open a number of cultue and artistic projects during October 2020.

 

In this regard, Abdel Dayem said that North Sinai Governorate is full of intellectuals and creators. She added that Sinai bears a rich cultural heritage that has been shaped over the eras, emphasizing that the land of Sinai remains one of the prominent symbols of the Egyptian identity.

 

Abdel Dayem announced the establishment of a center for the development of talented and creative individuals in various fields at El-Arish Culture Palace after its opening, in addition to preparing programs spreading the environmental and heritage crafts and supporting clubs for Badia (Bedouin) poets in order to achieve the principle of cultural justice

 

The culture minister also directed to revive and disseminate the Sinai heritage through the General Authority for Cultural Palaces and to intensify creative activities in the governorate.
