CAIRO – 12 July 2020: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, led by maestro Hisham Gabr, performed a concert at the Fountain Theater of the Cairo Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber.

The concert was held with the participation of the first female violin performer in the Finnish European Union Orchestra Laura Virtanen. All the musicians on stage wore face masks.

The ceremony showcased the sophistication and classiness of the Egyptian audience, who committed to all the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The orchestra’s leader was able to accurately confirm, through the skills and creativity of the instrument players, that music is a universal language capable of building bridges of communication between peoples.

The concert’s program included a number of the most important international classic works of major world-class composers.
