CAIRO – 5 July 2020: Ahmed Awad, head of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, visited the Marsa Matrouh Culture Palace.

This comes as part of a number of inspection tours that he will take in various cultural branches to follow up on the precautionary measures to confront COVID-19, in preparation for the resumption of cultural activities on July 15.

Awad inspected the palace to ensure that the guiding signs for entering and seating areas are placed, stressing the need to stick to all the preventative measures such as wearing face masks and social-distancing in the activity halls, library and theater.

Awad called on the managers of all cultural palaces to apply preventive measures against the novel virus according to the nature of each site. He also stressed the necessity of completing the implementation of these procedures before resuming the cultural activities.
