CAIRO – 23 June 2017: Humans are born equal till they choose to redefine themselves on basis of race, religion, and social classes. They grew disconnected by race, separated by religion, classified by wealth, and divided by politics.

In a two sided story that depicts the Palestinian-Israeli conflict; ‘Rock Pile’ upcoming movie will be directed by John Deery and staring the British actor Hugh Bonneville. The movie will send a significant message for humans worldwide, irrespective of their race, beliefs, or social differences, to discard their disputes, differences, and divisions and live in peace as humans, Deery's movie stands as an outcry for tolerance, understanding, and peaceful coexistence from the Promised Land.

Written by David McBrayer, the film tells the story of British journalist Bob Hastings, a Time Magazine war correspondent who, after following traumatic events both at home and in the Middle East, is reassigned to Jerusalem, according to Variety online website report on June 15.

In this divided city, he finds his own redemption and a sense of reconciliation when he uncovers a story of three young boys of different faiths, who are brought together through soccer. A twist of fate is set to change all their lives forever.
The film will serve as a reunion for Hugh and John, who worked together on Conspiracy of Silence.

“There has never been a greater need for understanding between nations, creeds and cultures than now,” Bonneville says. “From the moment I first read The Rock Pile, I felt buoyed by its tolerance and understanding. With children from fractured backgrounds as our guides, this film acknowledges religious and social differences, while reminding us of our common humanity. It’s a heart-warming story that doesn’t take sides.”
The Rock Pile will begin filming in Israel and New York later this year.

Deery added that “The Rock Pile” goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: “I have been lucky enough to surround myself with some great talent to help bring my vision to the screen and, in particular, am delighted to be working with Hugh Bonneville again on this timely and important film,” he said.
