CAIRO - 9 April 2020: Egypt’s Ministry of Culture continues to display rare creative materials through its e-initiative “Stay at home, Culture is between your Hands”.

On its official YouTube channel, the Ministry of Culture will broadcast a concert of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra accompanied by the Romanian international flute player Gheorghe Zamfir on April 11 at 9 p.m. Zamfir is one of the most famous and important musicians in the modern era.

Following the musical concert the play “Awlad el-Ghadab Walhob”, written by Karam el-Naggar and directed by Nasser Abdel Moneim, will be broadcast on the ministry’s official YouTube channel.

The play stars Anoushka, Ahmed Ratib, Mohammad Nagati, Safaa Galal, Basma and Sayed el-Ruby.

The play is a comedy discussing intergenerational dialogue through the personality of a great theatrical director, who decides to work on a new play starring a group of young people. During rehearsals, disagreement arises between them as a result of divergent views on many issues.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Culture received through its YouTube channel 11,508,000 million visitors.

The total number of watched hours so far is 126,737 hours, and the channel has registered 83,000 subscribers.

The channel’s views came from more than 25 countries around the world, namely Egypt, Saudi Arabia, America, UAE, Canada, Kuwait, Germany, England, France, Netherlands, Jordan, Australia, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Tunisia, Italy, Morocco and others.
