CAIRO - 22 January 2020: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, and a number of ministers, will officially inaugurate the activities of the 51st Cairo International Book Fair under the slogan: "Egypt Africa .. A Culture of Diversity", on Jan. 22

The Cairo International Book Fair will run until February 4.

The 51t Cairo International Book Fair is held in Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement District. The book fair provides 98 bus lines from most areas of Cairo and Giza, traveling at a rate of 15 minutes to and from the book fair, at a flat rate of L.E 6.

It is noteworthy that the 51st Cairo International Book Fair is held with the participation of 40 countries. Senegal is the guest of honor of the fair’s 51st edition. Gamal Hemdan is the book fair’s main personality.

The number of pavilions at the fair is 808, with an increase of 86 pavilions. The number of publishers, as well as Egyptian and Foreign entities participating are 900, with an increase of 153 publishers and entities compared to the fair’s 50th edition.

Furthermore, the number of Egyptian publishers is 398 and the number of Egyptian publishers of children's books is 75.

Egyptian publishers of Islamic heritage books total up to 121 and the number of participating Azbakeya wall libraries is 41.

Moreover, seven publishers of audio and electronic books will be participating in addition to 255 Arab publishing houses.

Thus, the total number is 900 publishing houses, 99 agencies, 925 activities, the number of participants in the activities is 3502 participants and 38 participating countries.

The cinema hall hosts a number of the most prominent movie stars and filmmakers, including Yousra, Lebleba, Aser Yassin, Mustafa Shaaban, Ziad Nassar, Mohammed Farrag, Abdul Rahim Kamal and Interior Architect Onsi Abu Saif.

The book fair will organize hundreds of cultural and artistic activities, most of which focus on various African cultures and arts.
