CAIRO - 19 November 2019: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem will give a speech Tuesday evening at the Forum of Ministers of Culture.

The forum comes within the framework of the 40th edition of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), based in Paris, France, and is attended by culture ministers and representatives of 120 countries.

Egypt’s Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative to UNESCO Ehab Badawi, and Head of Foreign Cultural Relations Sector Heba Youssef will also be in attendance.

Abdel Dayem said that the speech comes at the beginning of the fourth session, which discusses the issue of culture in public squares, and the catalyst of social and cultural transformation.

Minister Abdel Dayem pointed out that participation in such a prestigious event reflects the international appreciation of Egypt's significant position and its cultural leadership, adding that the global innovation system is working to establish an intellectual partnership that seeks to support and consolidate the ties between people.

The minister of culture is expected to hold meetings with a number of her counterparts, including the Greek minister of culture and the Emirati minister of culture and knowledge development.
