CAIRO - 19 September 2019: The Egyptian, Angolan Ministers of Culture visited the Egyptian Pavilion at the Biennale of Luanda - Pan-African Forum for the culture of peace.
The meeting was held in Fortezza de Sao Fort, in the presence of the Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad, Ambassador Khaled Hassan of Egypt, and Rasha Ragheb the Director of the National Training Academy.
The Egyptian pavilion included more than 35 diverse works of art, including decorative sculpture and paper-based photography by artists El Hoda Ahmed and Mohamed el Abd.
Attendees witnessed the artistic performance of the Toshka Folk Art Group of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, stressing through its presentation that arts are a language of communication between cultures.

During the opening ceremony, a number of tableaux were presented that reflected the Egyptian popular heritage, as the Angolan audience interacted with them with African dances, raising the flags of Egypt that decorated the fort.
For her part, the Angolan Minister of Culture appreciated Egypt's participation in launching the first edition of the Biennale, stressing the importance of supporting and enhancing cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries through intensifying creative and intellectual mutual activities.
