CAIRO - 15 September 2019: Maestro Selim Sahab and his band are scheduled to perform a concert in Cairo Opera House's Grand Theater on Sept. 15 at 8p.m.
During the concert, Sahab will present a distinctive and varied selection of the golden era's musical compositions, including “Heb el-donia” for Baligh Hamdi, “Enta Omri” for Mohammed Abdel Wahab, “Na’am ya Habibi” for Kamal el-Tawil, “Layali el-ons” and “Banadi Aleik” for Farid el-Atrash, “Lahn el-Wafa” for Riyad el-Sonbati, among others.
Selim Sahab is a conductor and contemporary composer. He was born in Palestine in 1941, but is now a citizen of Egypt. The veteran maestro obtained a Bachelor of Choral Conducting in 1971 from the Institute of Jensen.
