Henedy to perform Hop-o'-My-Thumb character in a massive movie

CAIRO – 9 June 2019: Famed Egyptian comedian Mohamed Henedy will perform Hop-o'-My-Thumb character in a comedy film that is scheduled to be released in upcoming Eid el-Adha.
The movie will be executed using the latest graphics techniques performed by an international graphics company.

Henedy promoted to his new movie on his facebook page. ‘’ Wait for me in a massive production movie soon’’ stated Hendey on his facebook page.

The movie is written acclaimed writer Omar Taher. Henedy’s play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel" (Three Days in North Coast) is currently being shown at Cairo Show Theater in 6th of October achieving a booming success.

The Saudi Ambassador in Egypt Osama el Nokaly previously attended Egyptian play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel, expressing his admiration with the play.

Henedy embodies the role of a head of a gang who goes through a number of funny situations.

After a 16-year hiatus, comedy star Mohamed Henedy returns to the theatre and competes with his new play "Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel." The first show of the play was on January 10, 2019.

"Talat Ayam Fe el Sahel" houses notable cast: Ahmed Fathy, Nada Moussa, Mohamed Sarwat, Maha Abou Ouf, Bayoumi Fouad, Samia el Taraboulsi among others.The show is written by Hatem Hussein and directed by Magdy el-Hawary.


Henedy’s last play was named "Tarae’eo", was directed by Samir el-Asfoury and was written by Nabeel Ameen. Stars Ala’a Morsy, Hanan Turk and Ghada Abdel Razek participated alongside Henedy in the play.

"Tarae’eo" revolved around the obstacles Egyptians may face in their daily lives. The main idea of the play was portrayed in a comic way supported by several dances.

Fares, a young man from Upper Egypt and the main character of the play, was sent to Cairo by his parents to pursue a successful academic career.

Unfortunately, Fares faced numerous obstacles that disabled him from reaching his main goal.
