CAIRO - 7 June 2017: Mohamed Abdel Kodous a renowned journalist and son of the prominent author Ehsan Abdel Kodous prefers the movie version of ‘La Tatfo’s El-Shams’( The Sun Does Not Fade Out) over the recent TV series aired this month during Ramadan, he stated on Wednesday.

Sister of the late author also thinks that the TV series could have been better than the currently produced works.

‘The Sun Doesn’t Fade Out’ is a novel by the late author Ehsan Abdel Kodous, portraying a mother and five children who meet emotional struggles following their father’s death. The novel discusses human interactions and relationships.

The novel has been recreated into a movie released in 1961, directed by Salah Abu Youssef and starring Faten Hamamah, Shoukry Sarhan, Emad Hamdy, Shereen, Laila Taher, and Akila Rateb, according to El Cinema.

The TV series that has also been recreated from the novel, stars Mervet Amin, Mohamed Mamdouh, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Amina Khalil, Reham Abdelghafor, Gamila Awad, Ahmed Malek, Shereen Reda, and Mohamed el-Sharnoby.
