CAIRO – 18 December 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem will inaugurate the 33rd edition of the Egyptian Literary Conference in Matrouh on Dec.18 in the presence of Governor of Matrouh Majdi al-Gharabli and Chairman of the General Authority for Culture Palaces Ahmed Awwad.

Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mustafa el-Fiki is the president of the 33rd edition that will run until Dec. 21. The 33rd edition of the Egyptian Literary Conference is named after the father of the Egyptian national economy; Talaat Harb.

This year's edition of the conference is entitled "The Cultural Product between the Freedom of Creativity and Economics of the Industry."

Several individuals will be honored in the 33rd edition, including Mohamed Hafez representing media officials, Ahmed Darwish representing critics, Hussain Saleh Khalaf Allah, Hatem Marie and others.

Matrouh was chosen to be the first capital of Egyptian culture after the minister of culture chose the governorate to host the Egyptian Literary Conference.
