CAIRO – 11 October 2018: Egypt will host the 21st edition of the Arab Culture Ministries Conference on October 14 and 15.

Under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the conference entitled “Arab Jerusalem” will be held in cooperation with the Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and will be led by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem.

During a press conference, Abdel Dayem said that the conference is an important event that gathers Arabs to discuss ways to achieve intellectual mutual support, strengthen the Arab identity and promote dialogue with the world.

In this year’s edition, the conference will shed light on “The Arab Cultural Project in the face of Current Challenges”.

In its 20th edition held at ALECSO headquarters in Tunisia, the conference declared April 4 of each year to be “Arabic Manuscripts Day” to reflect the wealth of the Arab-Islamic culture.

The conference will be preceded by a meeting of the Standing Committee for Arab Culture on October 12-13, 2018, where the recommendations and resolutions of the 20th session of the conference will be examined, as declared by ALECSO.
