Inas Abdel Dayem hosts ‘Ya Sitti’ Palestinian Delegation

CAIRO – 9 August 2018: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem hosts ‘Ya Sitti’ (Dear Grandma); an artistic female delegation representing elderly women and grandmothers in Palestine.

The delegation consists of singer Dalal Abu Amneh along with her musical team, led by musician Dr. Taisser Haddad.

Palestine is being represented by the team for the first time in Salah el-Din Citadel Festival for Music and Singing in its 27th edition this year.

The minister expressed her happiness towards the first international representing of Palestine in the festival which aims to restore the spirit of the Palestinian family and culture in the hands of its elderly.

Abu Amneh expressed her happiness for co-operating with the Egyptian Opera House for her first official concert, confirming that Egypt has an exceptional musical heritage and consists of numerous historical musical entities.

The singer further explained that she always felt at home while in Egypt, and is looking forward to her participation in the festival along with her team.

At the end of the meeting with Abdel Dayem, the Palestinian team granted the minister a shield to express their gratitude towards her commitment for allowing the participation of the Palestinian women and music in cultural and musical festivals in Egypt.
