Et Guide: places to go this evening

CAIRO – 30 July 2018: A number of cultural and artistic events will take place on Monday in several cultural institutes and centers.

The cinema hall at the Cairo Opera House will show three short documentary films called "Ard Moshtaraka" (Common Ground), "Resalit Zahra" (Zahra’s message), and "Al-Hara"’ (The Neighborhood) at 7 p.m.

The Forum of Philosophy at El-Sawy Culture Wheel, in cooperation with the Strategic Forum for Development and Social Peace, will organize a symposium titled "The Philosophy of Contemporary Women" at 6 p.m.

Also, El Sawy's Al-Hikma Theater will host the play "Hawil Mara Okhra" (Try Again), which will be performed by Al-Halatiya band at 7 p.m.

Furthermore, Al-Qisa club organizes a seminar to discuss the novel "Saradeeb al-Thahab" (Golden Catacombs) by Mohammed al-Oun, at 7 p.m.

In Jordan, writer of children’s literature Yaqoub al-Sharouni will be giving a lecture titled "Reality and Future of the Child’s Book and Reading in our Modern Arab World". This event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Abdel Hamid Shoman Foundation.
