Min. of Culture launches "Your Heritage is a responsibility"

CAIRO – 20 January 2018: Ministry of Culture launches "Your Heritage is a responsibility" Campaign. According to a press release from the Ministry of Culture, Enas Abdel Dayem, the new Minister of Culture, and Ahmed al-Shouki, the Head of General Organization of Books and National Documents, announced the launch of a new campaign led by the book house in Bak Al-Khalk on Monday January 22.

The campaign “Your heritage is you responsibility” aims at gathering and documenting Egyptian heritage in all fields by collaborating with society. The campaign will under the supervision of Abdel Dayem and al-Shouki.

The campaign addresses all Egyptians who have any kind of rare, valuable documents or media content related to Egyptian heritage. People can submit these documents to the Organization of Books and National Documents to preserve them for academic and scientific purposes and the benefit of society.

Those who submit files will be honoured and given a numerical copy of the collectibles.
The Organization of Books and National Documents received 38 glass cabinets, in which the organization will present the collected pieces to the public.
