"Talea Sena’y" movie cast members –Complied by Egypt Today
CAIRO – 2 January 2018: The Egyptian movie "TaleaSenay" (Induced Labour) will screenfor the first time in Egyptian cinemas on Tuesday, January 2.
Released in 2017, the film revolves around an Egyptian couple that seizes the American Embassy in Egypt after being denied visas to enter the United States.
The feature film stars a group of talented Egyptian actors and actresses, including RashaGawdat, Maged el-Kedwany, Mai Kassab, Abdel RahmanAbou Zahra, BayoumiFouad, HoreyaFarghali and SayedRagab. "TaleaSenay" is directed by KhaledDiab.
The movie screened for the first time on December 11,2017, as part of Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
Featuring regional and international filmmakers who shed light on Arab culture, the festival’s “Arabian Nights” chose to screen “TaleaSenay”. “Arabian Nights” is one of the most highly anticipated categories, as it celebrates the cultural diversity within the Arab world through the exceptional medium of film.
This is the first film for Diab as a director. Previously, he wrote a number of successful movies, most notably“Eshtebak” (Clash),whichhe wrote alongside his brother, the acclaimed writer and director, Mohamed Diab. KhaledDiabdazzled the world with “Clash” in 2016 that was chosen as an opening film at the Cannes International Film Festival as part of the UnCertain Regard category.
“Clash” revolves around human stories of a number of different Egyptians who were arrested without being charged during the disputes in 2013 that prevailed between supporters and opponentsof former Egyptian President and Muslim Brotherhood member Mohamed Morsi following his ouster from presidency.
Most of the film’s eventstake place inside a police truck that carried thearrested Egyptians including pro-Morsi and anti-Morsi demonstrators and journalists who later became friends, feeling remorse towards one another after a long, dire day. The Hollywood mega star Tom Hanks praised the movie, and sent a praising letter to Diab, describing the film as magnificent.
