CAIRO – 17 December 2017: Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School (DAAS) will perform a new musical, “The Flying Noon”, at Al Azhar Park at the kids area on December 22.

The show revolves around DAAS students’ first flight and the surprises they get during the journey. “The Flying Noon” won MINNA-Egypt award, which is funded by the European Union.

DAAS was established in late 2011 in partnership with the international Aga Khan Music Initiative.

DAAS aims to develop the skills of Al Darb Al Ahmar children to express themselves through art, the school has two main departments, music and performing arts including circus, acting and dancing.

DAAS performed a number of successful performances such as “Darbaka” (Chaos) (2014), “Tahet Wi Laenaha” (Lost and Found) (2014), “Zambalek” (2015) and “Balalika” (2015).
