CAIRO – 8 November 2017: The organizing committee of the World Youth Forum has put 3D images of the pyramids and the Sphinx entitled, “Discover Pyramids”, for foreigners in the World Youth Forum.

Through these images, a tourist could go on tours inside the pyramids and the Sphinx while still at the WYF.

The organizing committee will expand this project in coming conferences to include more tourist attractions. They are working on improving it so that more participants from different nationalities can witness the project.

A void in the Great Pyramid of Giza was discovered in November. Many archaeologists and Egyptologists will review different explanations for the newly-discovered gap.

Discovered by the International Pyramid’s Scan project, the pyramid’s gap was found by a team consisting of a number of archaeologists from the U.S., Germany and the Czech Republic as well as Egyptian experts.

Recently, several archaeological discoveries have been unearthed in Egypt including the biggest cemetery for pets in Berenike on the Red Sea coast. A 4,000-year-old obelisk and a wooden head artifact from the sixth dynasty in Saqqara have also been discovered.

Egypt’s first international youth event is set to run until November 10, bringing together 3,000 youth represented by 60 delegations from around the world.

The seven-day gathering witnesses the participation of official youth representatives over 18-years-old, leaders of various youth networks, heads of state, media figures, and around 250 young Egyptian expats. It is held under the theme "We Need to Talk."

The WYF sends a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and love to the entire world. It is considered a strong opportunity for youth globally to communicate with each other.

The idea of holding an international youth conference in Egypt was made during the third National Youth Conference in Ismailia, and it was approved by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. In July, the president announced organizing the WYF in Sharm El-Sheikh during the fourth National Youth Conference in Alexandria.
