CAIRO - 23 October 2017: The film “Manifesto” will be screened at the 10th edition of the Panorama of European Film.

Acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett plays 13 different roles in the film. The film integrates multiple types of artist manifestos, dating back to different eras, with contemporary scenarios. Characters include a schoolteacher, factory worker, choreographer, newsreader, scientist, puppeteer, widow and a homeless man.

“Manifesto” was also displayed at the first edition of the El Gouna Film Festival in September.

The first art-house cinema, Zawya, will host the 10th edition of the Panorama for the European Film from November 8 to 18.

In this year’s edition, the panorama will expand its screening venues to include a total of 10 cities, with the main program held in Cairo's Zawya and Zamalek cinemas.

Spanning 11 days, the Panorama of European Film will present to the audiences the latest award-winning European features, documentaries and short films.

The program includes a selection of over 50 films, all yet to be announced, and a diverse set of workshops, master classes and talks with international film industry guests.

The panorama was founded by Misr International Films and organized by Zawya in 2004, and it is co-funded by the European Union under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Egyptian Film Center.
