‘Beirut Diaries’ to screen at Cimatheque

CAIRO – 1 October 2017: The Lebanese documentary, “Yaumiyat Beirut: Haqiqa Wa Akdheeb” [Beirut Diaries: Truth and Lies], will screen at Cimatheque on October 1.

The film is directed by Mai Masri, and it reflects the political status in Beirut between truth and myths.

It starts with the assassination of Rafik Al Hariri in 2005, and the political and social aftermath in Lebanese society.

The film won the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Documentary Film in 2007.

This film screening is a part of Cimatheques’ “Out the Frame” program.
