CAIRO – 27 September 2017: Watson Blues band will perform live at Cairo Jazz Festival (CJF) on Friday at 5 p.m., the festival takes place at the American University’s Tahrir Campus in downtown Cairo, CJF reported on its official Facebook page.

Watson blues Band is led by the Egyptian musician, Sherif Watson who is one of the best blues guitarists in Egypt. He started his music career on keyboards at the age of 12. Inspired by the old roots of blues music, he started playing the electric guitar at the age of 19. Watson teaches guitar at his music school, Bandmakers, in addition to performing, the page added.

The 9th Cairo International Jazz Festival edition will kick off on September 28 for four days. Many jazz music fans will gather to enjoy three nights of performances by a mixture of Arab and foreign jazz singers.

There are nine countries participating in the festival this year; Egypt, Denmark, Austria, Holland, Portugal, Panama, Japan and the Czech Republic.
