CAIRO, Sept 19 2017: The committee of the Ministry of Antiquities which is tasked with inventorying antiquities in Mohamed Ali palace in Shubra revealed Tuesday plans to move antiquities from Mohamed Ali palace to Manial palace in the coming period.

This step comes ahead of starting the restoration and renovation work of Mohamed Ali palace.

Head of Museums Sector at the Ministry Ilham Salah said none of the antiquities inside Mohamed Aly palace went missing, adding that all the palace's belongings are intact and haven't been damaged in any way.

However, Salah explained that as soon as the ministry learned of breaking the doors of the palace and the loss of keys of a number of rooms, the committee was formed to carry out the inventorying of antiquities inside the palace.
