CAIRO – 17 August 2017: A new horror movie from the United Arab Emirates is set to be released this weekend, titled 'A Tale of Shadows.'
Directed by Tariq Al-Kazim, the movie is a psychological horror set on a remote isolated farm and follows a poor man named 'The Gardener,' played by Chuka Ekweogwu who takes a job there, and must deal with Garet played by Rik Aby, an unhinged and mentally disturbed man who appears to know more than he lets on.
The discovery of a watch and the appearance of strange shadowed figures lead the Gardener to shine a light on the farm's dark secrets. Production of the film was difficult, with most of the budget having to come directly from Al-Kazim's family, the National states.
The film will be distributed by Gulf Films and is available in English, a decision made to allow it to reach a wider international audience.
