CAIRO - 17 August 2017: The Beirut Art Film Festival (BAFF) will kick off on 6 November and will last until 25 November.

The 3rd edition of the festival will take place at Metropolis-Empire-Sofil. Sofil is a two screened cinema that will be displaying over 50 films from various disciplines including dance, music, art history, archeology, and visual arts amongst others.

BAFF strives to raise awareness about the various forms of art in the Middle East and simultaneously encourage documentary production. The festival is organized by Robert A. Matta Association Arts & Culture and is financially supported by the American Embassy and the Alex and Anne-Marie Habib foundation. Fifteen Lebanese cultural centers will be screening their documentaries on 11, 18 and 25 November.

From 8 November to 10 November, BAFF will display films from 40 schools across Lebanon. Student entries from 12 universities will be sharing their productions as well from 20 November to 24 November.
