When an alien race hits the Earth with an unrelenting assault, Major William Cage (Cruise), who has never seen a day of combat, is killed within minutes. However, Cage finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop fighting and dying again… and again. With each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill. Cruise began pre-production on Edge of Tomorrow less than a week after wrapping 2013’s summer’s hit Oblivion.
