Egyptian movie “Captains of Zaatari” became available on Netflix since June 23.

The film is directed by Ali El Arabi about the two best friends, Mahmoud Dagher and Fawzi Qatleesh living in the Za'atari Refugee Camp in Jordan with an undying dream of becoming professional soccer players while facing the difficult reality of their lives.

Despite being locked in a space that has no facilities or opportunity for training, they remain hopeful and practice day in and day out.

When a world-renowned sports academy visits, both have a chance to make this dream come true.

Director Ali Al Arabi commented “While it was important for us that Captains of Zaatari be shown at different events and festivals that host decision makers in different parts and industries of the world, it was the end goal for it to be readily available to everyone in the world so that the message and experience that this film brings doesn’t stop at private screenings but instead spread to everyone, everywhere.”
