CAIRO – 20 June 2022: The French Cultural Center in Alexandria will host a symposium on June 21 at 7 pm to review the most prominent features of the distinctive Alexandrian identity, with the participation of writers and historical researchers Walid Fikri and Radwa Zaki.

The symposium deals with the history of Alexandria, what has disappeared from it, and what remains, exposing the cultural component of the second capital of Egypt.

The symposium will also highlight the history of the city's regions that have extended cultural heritage, focusing on popular culture, customs and traditions, the special dishes, the Alexandrian dialect, the names of the streets and neighborhoods, and the stories of the saints and the righteous that once lived there.
