CAIRO – 3 April 2022: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion, launched a digital tourism Fawazir [riddles] competition on their various social media platforms.

 

 

 

 

This is held to promote the Egyptian tourist destination and increase the tourist and archaeological awareness among the public and provide them with some diverse tourist and archaeological information, especially related the month of Ramadan in Egypt and why it is so special.

 

 

 

 

Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Promotion Lamia Kamel explained that this competition includes putting up 15 riddles throughout the holy month on the ministry’s official Facebook account, in addition to the authority’s official Facebook account and  Experience Egypt.

 

 

 

 

The competition will address questions about Ramadan habits, the nature of this holy month in Egypt, and the places where the month is famous for. This comes in the context of preserving the old Ramadan customs and highlighting the distinguished Ramadan atmosphere enjoyed in the various Egyptian destinations during this holy month, which works to attract tourists to spend the month of Ramadan in Egypt.

 

 

 

 

The prize will be a tourist trip inside Egypt for a week during the summer months to one of the tourist cities, including Hurghada and Sahl Hasheesh.

 

 

 

 

The trip will be granted to three winners who participated in the competition during Ramadan and provided correct answers for all the questions.
