Egypt to participate in a UNESCO symposium, exhibition on creativity, news & misinformation

CAIRO – 16 March 2022: On March 18, UNESCO [United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization], is holding a virtual symposium and exhibition on how to confront misinformation and how to empower youth for social and creative participation.

The symposium will include an informative exhibition on the three core principles of innovation, collaboration and inspiration.

The initiative also addresses the need for media and information literacy to address misinformation and the impact it accompanies on development, democratic governance and peace.

UNESCO will also discuss with speakers how MIL can enable teachers and youth to benefit from the learning, social engagement and creativity offered by the explosive growth of information and digital technologies and the spread of new forms of media.
