CAIRO – 3 March 2022: The famous German website Deutsche Welle published a photo report under the title "Ten Reasons to Visit Egypt," in which it chose the ten best tourist places to visit in Egypt.

 

 

 

 

 

The Giza Pyramids Antiquities Area came first, as the report considered that no tourist trip to Egypt would be complete without visiting the pyramids. The report also shed light on the Great Sphinx, which it considered a legendary statue majestically located at the entrance to the Giza Pyramids Antiquities Area.

In the second place was Mount Moses in Sinai, which is a sacred site in all the heavenly religions. The mountain is located at an altitude of 2,285 meters. The report indicated that despite the difficulty of climbing the mountain, the scenic landscapes that tourists enjoy watching from above compensate for the effort expended in this ascent.

In the third place was St. Catherine's Monastery, which is located at the foot of the mountain and is one of the oldest monasteries. It is one of the archaeological sites listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Fourth came the step Pyramid of Djoser, which is considered the oldest stone building in the world. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, and is located in the heart of the Saqqara Necropolis.

In the fifth place came the two temples of Abu Simbel, which also enjoy a special place in UNESCO. They were built by King Ramses II.

The Valley of the Kings region on the western mainland of Luxor ranked sixth. The site contains many royal tombs in it, including the tomb of the golden king Tutankhamun.

In the seventh place came the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, which includes countless artifacts. The report indicated that the Grand Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open at the second half of 2022, and will display the entire collection of King Tutankhamun in one place for the first time in history.

In the eighth place came the Ras Mohammed Reserve, which is ideal for travelers who love snorkeling and diving. It is located on the Red Sea coast and includes a number of the most colorful coral reefs in the world. It is full of unique marine life, and dolphins can be seen along the Red Sea coast.

The Red Sea came ninth. It  is famous for its diverse ingredients for vacationers and lovers of water sports and diving. It has beautiful beaches, mild temperatures all year round, and towns and resorts lining its coasts. Among these cities is the city of Hurghada, which is full of restaurants and various tourist activities that can be enjoyed during vacations year-round.

Finally, Luxor came in the tenth place. It is located in southern Egypt, and includes a number of the richest archaeological sites, including Karnak and Hatshepsut temples, offering magical Nile cruises, as well as the possibility of flying balloon trips that provide the opportunity to enjoy watching the picturesque nature of Luxor from the sky.
