Egypt celebrated Cairo International Book Fair by displaying some artifacts such as “The Seated Writer” to show ancient Egyptians love for knowledge, reading and writing.
The high officials in the old kingdom often asked for a statue depicting them as scribes in their tomb such as "Statue of a Scribe".
A painted limestone statue "Ptah-Shepses" who had many titles such as judge, inspector of archivists and inspector of God's servants.
Cairo International Book Fair kicked off on January 26.
