CAIRO – 19 January 2022: Two years after the broadcast of the British Book Awards ceremony via social media, the British Book Awards management announced the return of the award in a ceremony to be held on May 23, 2022, broadcast live for those who cannot attend.

 

 

 

 

 

With the return of the Grand Prix for the book industry in Britain, the management announced new awards for 2022, namely the Discover Book of the Year Award, which targets writers who are not directly represented. Also, the children's awards are divided into non-fiction and illustrated books, and two Audiobook Awards will be granted in 2022, in recognition of the strong growth of this type of in the global publishing market. This award will be dedicated to the field of fiction and realism.

 

 

 

 

 

The Bookseller of the Year Award will also return, in recognition of the vital role that booksellers continue to play. This is in addition to the Designer of the Year Award, dedicated to the best book designer, and the Début, Fiction, Non-fiction Lifestyle, Non-fiction Narrative, Crime & Thriller, and Book of the Year in general.

 

 

 

 

 

There will also be the Author of the Year and Illustrator of the Year Awards, won last year by Richard Osman and Charlie McKeese, respectively.
